Progess shots

This was my third and fourth painting. I did them both in the same class. I do a lot of walking around the city and was making my way home from the city centre, not long after New Year. The house had once been grand, now a shell. Next to it was what ight once have been an entrance for a carriage..? There was a single, black stilletto shoe, left on the pavement in front after a night out. The scene invited painting. I like the colour combinations and, particularly, the low wall in front of the house. I'd also worked on an ultrmarine blue and white swatch.
