Canopy 1
A4 paper, acrylic, 8 June 2020
Progess shots

I looked up through the branches and leaves. It was mid-summer. The light was bright, shining through the canopy. I pointed my camera (on my phone) and hoped. I would try to paint this, I thought. I never caught the brilliance of the afternoon sunshine, but something else happened. The movement on the page could be the subtle communications going on inside and between the trees. I tried three times to capture what I saw. The results later became cards in the post for friends, much appreciated, I think. And I will try again in the summer.
