Three wheelbarrows
A4 paper, acrylic, 6 July 2020
Progess shots

Quite frankly, I was embarrassed by this one. The wheelbarrows look like squashed peppers, overripened. And yet...
And yet, it has grown on me from its gallery position above my kitchen window. I really didn't know what I was doing. Just keep going and hope for the best! It makes me smile. It connects me with the manual work I do in the Quaker Burial Ground, Wildlife and Community Garden. And, like painting before or since, parts are really rather good. I particularly like the wheel on the red barrow. The tree is alive. And the wall jumps out at you.
And at this stage, and this was an early effort, I hadn't then practised drawing too much. So, a good effort, my friend, I think.
